Elegance and Minimalism: Capturing the Essence of ME Barcelona

The ME Barcelona, a 5-star superior hotel on the iconic Passeig de Gràcia, just steps from Plaça Catalunya, offers an exclusive and immersive experience. My task as a hotel photographer was to capture the essence of this luxurious retreat through a lens that reflects its understated elegance.

For this project, I chose to work with normal shift lenses instead of wide-angle lenses, creating an editorial aesthetic and avoiding exaggerated perspectives. This approach allowed the spaces to feel authentic and approachable while highlighting their architectural and design details.

The collaboration with the hotel staff focused on minimalist and elegant styling. Every element within the frame was carefully curated to ensure harmony and balance, aligning with the hotel’s refined identity.

The result is a series of images that not only document the hotel’s spaces but also evoke the feeling of being immersed in its luxurious ambiance. From the stunning rooftop pool with its breathtaking city views to the thoughtfully designed interiors of the suites, every photograph seeks to invite the viewer into this world of elegance and sophistication.

Lighting played a crucial role in shaping the mood of each photograph. By using subtle lighting techniques and a delicate touch in post-production, I paid special attention to shadow tones and maintained low color saturation. This ensured that the imagery exuded the natural, serene atmosphere that defines ME Barcelona.
