Located within the landscape of Camiral Golf & Wellness, this private residence designed by Lagula Arquitectes is defined by a clear and unconventional architectural gesture: a cylindrical volume organised around a central open courtyard. The project establishes a strong relationship between form, topography and landscape, using geometry as a tool to frame views, light and privacy.
The house is positioned on a gently sloping site overlooking the golf course, with distant views toward the Montseny mountains. The circular layout allows the architecture to open selectively toward the surroundings while maintaining a protected and introverted core. This balance between openness and enclosure defines the spatial character of the villa, creating a continuous dialogue between interior spaces and the natural environment.
At the heart of the house, the courtyard acts as both a spatial and climatic device, bringing natural light deep into the plan and reinforcing a sense of connection with nature. Circulation unfolds around this central void, generating fluid movement and visual continuity across levels. A sculptural staircase becomes a key architectural element, articulating vertical connections while shaping the experience of space.
The interiors, developed in collaboration with Studio Piet Boon, adopt a restrained material palette of light tones and natural finishes. Materials follow the curvature of the architecture, enhancing the perception of continuity and reinforcing the calm, measured atmosphere of the house. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and the central atrium allow daylight to define spaces throughout the day, reducing the need for artificial articulation.
This photographic project focuses on the relationship between geometry, light and landscape. The images document how the cylindrical form structures views, frames nature and generates a sequence of spaces that feel both open and protected. Rather than emphasising spectacle, the visual narrative highlights the precision and coherence of an architectural concept where form, function and environment are closely aligned.
